Pollen on water, thick in places (see photo). A couple of floating tree stumps. Canada geese, osprey, duck. On shore: cut grass, goose poop.
Cut grass washed up on shore.
Green algae on rocks near the island.
Ministry of Fisheries officials (3 men in a speedboat under cover) asked us what we were doing - They were happy to see that we were water testing for the Ottawa Riverkeeper, instead of illegally fishing.
Lots of leopard frogs by shore.
Also saw Great Blue Heron, osprey, minnows
