View all photosSaw either a hawk or a turkey vulture but was unable to make a solid identification. We also used the plankton net and saw loads of daphnia.
Used the plankton net, think we saw daphnia and mosquito larvae, midge fly larvae. Lots more water coming in through the stream after today's rainfall.
Rained yesterday. Lots more flow from the stream.
Lab test from Caduce. Taken at the stream from Lac Girard. Lots of ducks around. Sample taken at surface.
Saw some green frogs and leopard frogs of various sizes. Loon on the lake.
First swim of the year! A bit chilly and the black flies are still awful.
So hot but black flies are horrible!
Ice finally melted around the shores! Still some snow in the woods, but around the lake it's clear now.
