In October of 2015, the Ontario Legislature passed a new law, the Great Lakes Protection Act. This act recognizes the diverse issues facing the Great Lakes, from invasive species to pollution to climate change. It provides new tools to better tackle these challenges. This dataset contains information on water quality samples collected from nearshore stations within a lake basin. Data is collected each year, according to the lake-by-lake cycle. Data in this record is open and is published, if you wish to use the data in this set please refer to the Open Government Licence – Ontario.
