A Peregrine Falcon has nested on "Big Rock" Lake Clear annually since 2009. As a species at risk its status under Ontario Endangered Species Act, 20071 is Special Concern (as of January 2013) and its status under federal Species at Risk Act (SARA)2 is Special Concern (Schedule 1) as of 2012. Draft management plan issued May 2015.
